Fat Girl's Recipe: MENUDO

A lot of my friends are asking how to cook menudo. Well first off, menudo is a very colorful dish because of the different colored vegetables not to mention the hotdog. So here it goes hope everyone likes it.

MENUDO

Ingredients:

MENUDO

1/2 kilo Pork Belly
1/4 kilo Chicken Liver
3 pcs. Jumbo hotdog, sliced
3 Cloves Garlic, minced
2 medium sized Red Onion, diced
2 medium sized Tomatoes, cubes
5 medium sized Potatoes, cubes
2 pcs. Carrots, cubes
4 small Green Bell Peppers, cubes
1 small pack Frozen Peas

4 c Water
1/2 c soy sauce
1/3 c oyster sauce
3 tbsp. Tomato Paste
2 tbsp. Sugar
Salt and Pepper

Procedure:
1. Saute garlic and onion until golden brown,add the pork and let it cook.
2. Once the pork is cooked, add the tomatoes.
3. After adding the tomatoes, add the potatoes and carrots. Let it cook for a few minutes. Then add the hotdogs.
4. Once the potatoes and carrots are half cooked add the hotdog and chicken liver. Let it cook for a few minutes.
5. Add the rest of the ingredients except the bell pepper And peas. Let it simmer for 3 minutes.
6. Lastly, add the bell pepper and peas. Let it simmer until all ingredients are cooked evenly.

READY TO SERVE!!!

Fat Girl's Recipe : Fish Tacos

My mother hired a tutor for my brother, which means another excuse to make a mirienda for the tutor.. Since there were a lot of vegetables that are almost near to spoil, I figured why not make a home made fish tacos. There was also a frozen pack of cream dory fillets.

FISH TACOS

Ingredients:
Cream Dory Fillets, cut into finger-shape
Taco Shells
Tomato, deseeded and shredded
Red Onions, shredded
Cabbage, shredded
Cheese, shredded
Batter:
2 c All Purpose Floor
1 tsp. Salt
1/2 tsp. Pepper
1/2 tsp. Chili Powder
1/2 tsp. Paprika
1/2 tsp. Ashuete Powder

For the White Sauce - i just used the Ceasar Dressing that can be bought in Supermarkets and just squeezed a half or Lemon Juice.

Procedure:
1. Mix the Batter, then coat the fillets then deep fry.
2. Just mixed the white sauce with all the vegetables.
3. Assemble; a) Taco Shells b) Fish c)Mixed Vegetables in White Sauce d) Cheese.
4. Wrap the Tacos in foil then Grill each side for 20 seconds.
5. Then Ready to serve.

My father's Birthday!

I was about 6 years old and I was living in asmall apartment which was provided for us when we we’re still living in Libya. Iremember the smallest kitchen ever, we had the smallest oven, refrigerator,toaster and etc. And my Dad taught me how to bake cookies in our tiny oven. Iwas very little (literally..)then my mom would be the one doing the mixture,then me and my dad would prepare all kinds of shapes of cookie cutters, starshape, square, triangle, heart.. It was very cute.. While mom is doing themixture, Me and my dad would draw and he would teach me how to stoke crayonsand be well on it. Maybe that’s why I want colors when it comes to my dishes.

Now that I am turning 24, It bringsback memories, I dreamed about it. Today is my father’s birthday.. And I ammixed with different feelings. My dad is unfortunately in Libya where hisboss wants them to inspect and fix everything that’s happening to their company’sprojects.

But even if we are very far apart wemake sure that we communicate from time to time. And since it’s my father’sbirthday, we decided to go to TriNoma and celebrate it with Italianni’sRestaurant.

Not only because it was Christmas itwas also the weekends and there were a lot of people shopping, roaming aroundand eating and enjoying. Since I knew where the restaurants were, I decided totake them to Italianni’s. When we got there, there were no tables that wereavailable and clean, so the receptionist said to sit down and wait. She waspretty and neat but she wasn’t that accommodating, she just waited for thetables to be cleaned and have us seated right away. The usual introduction ofour server, soup of the day and “Thank You Ma’am Sir, Enjoy your Meals”, notsmiling she was on an off mood (I suppose).blah blah blah.

See this is what I hate the most, Iwrite things about Restaurants and the service they provide, since it’s a classa type of restaurant I expect a worthy service for a worthy price. Is that toomuch to ask? I was trained to speak my mind and treat every guests equally andfairly. I mature in the teachings of my professor with the saying “THECUSTOMERS ARE ALWAYS RIGHT!”. We offer good food and best service we canpossibly can because CUSTOMERS pay us for it! It’s our Job!

So as we sat on our comfortablechairs and as soon as the receptionist handed the menus.. I put it down andlooked around. Italianni’s is one of the most marvelous restaurants I’ve everbeen. It’s incredible structure and architecture is to die for. Displays of somany pictures of old Italian families, pots and trays that are made of wood andItalian words that are painted to the walls. The whole set up had an Italian field andatmosphere to it. You can relax with your family and enjoy.

Our serverwas not of help at all… He doesn’t smile nor laugh nor greets uswhole-heartedly. He was just there standing, looking like he can’t wait for hisshift to end. He looked tired and very inappropriate. His clothes were dirtyand so as his apron. I asked him what are their specialties, and he wasn’t ableto answer right away. So I became the server on our table. Asked each andeveryone what they like and try to tell them what’s on every dish, good thingon the menu there’s an individual description. Ha! (admit it guys we sometimesare lazy to read that but come to think of it, why read if the server knowswhat’s in it! Anyways as soon as we each have what meal to have, I wrote itdown and gave it to our server who wasn’t much of a help.

It was my first time to come toItalianni’s TriNoma branch usually I dine in at Robinson’s Manila or at Gateway.. Plus my family is abig fan of pizzas and pastas. So it’s obvious we had to pick Italianni’s.

On ourtables:

Appetizer : Basketof Bread (Foccacia Bread)dipped in a olive oil and balsamic vinaigrette.This serves as a “while you wait appetizer” and it is free.

Insalata Milano P495.00 – This saladhas Salami Milano, romaine, black olives, tomatoes, grabanzos, parmesan cheeseand it’s dressing Italian vinaigrette. The saltiness of the salami and cheesemixed with the Italian vinaigrette blends very well. It’s a great combinationof flavors. Just an advise, order water just to numb the taste of the salad, sothat you can still feel and taste the flavors of your main course.

Main Course: Beef TenderloinP995.00 – I wasreally upset with this dish. We wanted the tenderloin to be cooked medium rareand well done. I don’t know how they define Medium rare in their kitchen, whatthey served us was really off. It was Rare. Yes it was seared but it had 75%red through the centre. Medium rare is seared but it should be 50% red on thecenter. The one they gave us had agel-like texture, more likely eating a raw meat! Yuck! Fortunately, the well- done steaks were 100%brown but still tender. I can taste the black pepper corn sauce and my brotherlikes the mashed potatoes and there was a side dish which is mixed vegetablesthat was topped with cream based sauce with cheese.

Grilled Pork Chops (2 chops)P695.00- Now here’s a good main dish, I like the tenderness of thechops and its pepper-crust with black peppercorn sauce. Ofcourse the usualserved with seasonal vegetables, crispy fried spinach and garlic rice. Verypinoy I might add. This was my mom's choice.. Again Mothers knows best.

GrilledPepper Fish Fillet P575.00 - Grilled Cream Dory fillet seasoned with blackpepper and served with either mashed potatoes or pasta coated with olive oilthen on the side you have there the tomato cream sauce with mixed vegetables. Avery healthy yet tasty meal. My godmother ordered one.

And as for me.... I had the Parmesan Crusted Fish Fillet (Regular)P595.00 - Cream Dory coated with Parmesan Cheese and Breadcrumbs, servedwith their amazing and delicious caper cream sauce, mashed potatoes andbuttered vegetables. Two thumbs and definitely a recommendation. A must-trydish.

As you can see me and my family lovesdining out especially during special occasions. All their dishes were a littlepricy, and their service was really bad. As soon as we were done with our meal,my sisters were complaining about their service, how raw the meat was. It waspainfully disappointing. The place wasgood (no! the best set up!)Food? (it was ok…)SERVICE? VERY BAD!

It's My Ninang's Birthday!!!

Chocolate Cake P286.00 - was ordered from Goldilocks, lucky for us it was freshly baked, moist in the inside, chocolaty and it's so delicious. *sigh*

It Novermber 27 and It's the best Godmother's birthday! We went to Binangonan to celebrate my Godmother or in Filipino it's Ninang's Birthday. It's a very special day for her, since her daughter, Ate Michelle is not home to celebrate it with her or us, we make sure she's never alone and make it very special for her. i love her.

T-bone steaks - grilled to perfection.. peppery and tasty!

Marinated with vinegar, sprite, salt, pepper and a little bit of Lemon Juice.

Grilled Porkchops - My mom marinated them, with sprite, salt and pepper, soy sauce, vinegar and kalamansi.

Grilled Chicken - same with the pork marinade.

Fruta de Crema - (I love saying that Fruta de Crema! hahahaha.. ok guys say it with me FRUTA DE CREMA!!!) if you are a gelatin addict and a lover then this is the dessert you like. in some cases this would have a sponge or a butter cake with filling, but in this case it is made of gelatin with different fruit flavors.

Grilled Hotdogs - I learned this from my cousin, when grilling hotdogs you have to brush it with mixed oil, ketchup, soy sauce, salt and pepper.

Puto (Steamed Rice Cake) and Kutchinta (Brown Rice Cake) - both are steamed rice, but with Puto it's more of a thick rice and with Kutchinta it's more refine and smooth.

To my loyal subjects and readers.. I thank thee who not only read this blog but also share my interests in writing. (argghh.. how formal of me). Anyways!! hello again.. I know it's been a while not updating my blog but not to worry I always check on my emails and find it very honoring and amazing it is to know how all of you loves my blog. (even if it makes no sense..! haha!)

I posted these pictures for a while now and haven't told you guys how our encounter was. So here it goes;

Me and My sister, Jheii wanted to try out Pancake House, specially when we were craving for Pancakes for a long time.

It was my sister's lunch break so we had to meet her in the mall.We went straight to Pancake House. There were a few customers dining already..unfortunately we were no assistance to anyone. But not to worry, we were able to find seats for ourselves. A waitress came over to give us the menu and she was polite enough to smile. They were dressed appropriately and they were neatly charming. There was a manager, who was looking at us but never did came near us. It was ok.

A former classmate of mine works in that branch it was very nice to see an old friend again. Grace. She's very helpful and even if they had a lot of customers by then she was able to check on us from time to time.. How very kind.. (Hoorahhh to the Philwomenians again!)

The place was clean but it was a small store. They kept the place nice and neat. The tables and chairs were arranged properly but there was a lot of things going on the table. There were a lot of table accessories such as the card menu displays (huge ones) which gives small space for the plates and glasses to be served.

***Just a suggestion, no matter how big or small the sponsor of your restaurant has, like coca cola or pepsi or whatever, there's no need to put that card display on the table because we are not after that... Plus enough space for the plates to be put at. We are after the food! Well that's my stomach talking.. haha!***

i noticed that there were posters of different movies which makes it feel at home, and i like the natural brown and orange color which makes it more welcoming.. the simpler the better!

This is my mom with my sister who is spending time to read the menu...

Mango Milk Shake - is my sisters' choice of beverage because they are mango lovers, but this was not their favorite, it was too sweet and the mango flavor was not really there.

Fiesta Taco Salad - P 203.00 - this is a worthy price for a worthy Salad - this was my mom's pick and when we ordered it was one of their specialties.. Mother knows best! yep.. they do! although the description tells that the dish had roasted chicken bits and a freshly friend tacos, I did not felt that. but all of the ingredients were complete, there was kidney beans, nachos that was not really a nachos but more likely a "Chippy" Chips, mixed greens and of course the cheddar cheese which is more likely an eden cheese. But all in all it tasted FANTASTIC! I loved it!

Seafood Gambero - P250.00 - This had mussle and shrimp, a tomato based sauce seasoned with garlic, oregano and basil. Parsley for garnish and Parmesan. It was good.

Tenderloin Steaks - P350.00++ - My brother and my sister had this and It wasn't the best steak. From my recent blogs, my brother knows a best steak and since they came home from Libya, we have gone far and wide to search for the best of the best steak in town, one that my brother would have to eat everyday whatever it takes! These steaks on the other hand was just another one of those that didn't beat the steak he loves so much in Libya. We asked for a medium rare but unfortunately it was rare! I know in the picture it looks hmmm different but in the inside it wasn't it was really rare. This is a no go!

Carbonara P226.00 - This is so far the best Carbonara I've ever tasted, I have to admit next to sister Ate Michelle, this is by far the best carbonara, the pasta was cooked perfectly, the sauce was hot and saucy and juicy and the chicken and the mushroom was perfectly seasoned with garlic and nutmeg and ofcourse white and black pepper mixed,and don't me started on the cheese!!! I love the cheese, mozzarella and parmesan mixed, like fireworks in your mouth! TWO THUMBS UP! I vow to the cook who made it! Very well done! GUYS YOU HAVE GOT TO TRY THIS! I promise you, it won't be a disappointment!

and last but certainly not the least... Waffles - P300.00++ - this is a combination order, with chicken fingers and salad.this was amazing.. I forgot what it's called, but trust me when i say it's one of the best in pancake house. you have to ask for it because sometimes they don't have it and it depends on what time..so ask for the waffles that have chicken fingers..!

Over all it was ok. If you're looking for a relaxed and on the budget restaurants this is the place to go.. You can bring a long friends and family. Everyone is welcome here.

My dearest friends or the interwebs...

I'm very sorry for the delay...

I've been very lazy lately due to the weather and all..

And apart from that I stayed in Binangonan Rizal which our internet/wifi is not that cooperative..

So..

Here it goes.. I was waiting for my friend Jessica..

As soon as she arrived, she was complaining she was hungry and the thought that i needed to blog about this restaurant, so i figured why not right?

Immediately i took a bath and just on some of my casual clothes.

Locked my apartment and went to robinsons manila.

At the entrance there were no receptionist.

I saw one server and the managers were all seating down and discussing things.

I went inside and the place looked like an old diner.

It was clean but it looked old.

I like our server, he was very charming and nice. He was also smiling the whole time me and my friend was there.

The rest room was small but clean.

I was a little upset when I learned that they don't accept American Express Credit Card.

On the table:

Granny's Favorite P125.00 - mixed apples, orange and grapes. Not my favorite but it was a recommendation from the server so I tried it. It was a big serving as well.

Chocolate Chip P135.00 - it's a milk shake with chocolate chips.

Parmesan Garlic Chicken Wings P255.00 - The wings was warm and freshly friend.It was very tasty.

Chicken Stuffed Parmigiana Platter P320.00 - Chicken was a bit bland, I like the pasta , the sauce was sweet. It is very good.

Blueberry Pancake - P200++ - I like this very much! It is one of my favorite.

There are fourbranches. Since my place is very near Robinson's Manila, where is the best and very convenient place to visit a branch... Aside from that... I find the Managers of Bistro very intriguing and Gesture wise, probably hard to please.. So we'll see..

And besides that, I amhappy to share with you guys that I just got my Bistro Card and I am veryexcited to use it!

Fat Girl's Recipe : Tortilla Sandwiches

Food when you're alone at home!

Ok.. so i live alone in manila for the time being.
Being away from my family means I need to learn on my own.
I'm not really used to cooking for myself and doing things alone, but these past few days the only one that i'm with is my Godmother.

So here's another recipe which you will surely love and basically do it when you're not wanting to have a heavy dinner or you don't want to eat rice. And you can use any left overs like chicken breats, any ground meat if you have those, or the ensalata you just ate last night something like that.

I call it TORTILLA SANDWICHES. it is very cheap and very easy to make.

Ingredients:
Totilla Chips/ Wraps - I bought mine in French baker which costs only P70.00 it has 6pcs.
Ham - Any will do, i used the ones that are canned since that the only ham that i have here
Tuna - i used the corned tuna from century tuna, the spicy one.
Bacon - i used the left overs that i ate for breakfast
Onion- 1 is enough and thinly slice it
Cucumber - juliene or circles
Tomato - julien or circles
Cheese - shredded
Mayo

Procedure:
1. Lay the wraps in a flat surface (we have 6 wraps, so lay 3 wraps), spread mayo into each wrap.
2. Put Ham on one wrap, tuna on the 2nd one and bacon on the last wrap.
3. Next spread the onion, cucumber and tomato onto each wraps.
4. add the shredded cheese.
5. then cover it with another tortilla wrap.
6. heat a pan, and warm each side of the wrap until the cheese melts and they're stick together.

And there you have it..

It opened at Greenbelt3 and on October 26 at Shangri-La Mall Edsa with its two more hit branches inMall of Asia and Trinoma in less than two years. Last April 5, 2009 Fish &Co. made a grand splash at Alabang Town Center.

I love Fish & Co. Moa.I love the Fisherians.. I experience the world of fine dine in because of them.They trained me very well and they opened my eyes in the real world ofhospitality industry. It didn’t just involve books and notes but the realthing. How we start from peeling off the skins of carrots and Chayote togrilling and frying then comes to plating the dishes. What a progress it was…

I missed everyone; I missedthe servers and most specially the ones that are assigned at the pack of thehouse. I missed you guys! Every morning we do a pre-shift or a meeting todiscuss what are the latest news about the restaurants, how are they doing whenit comes to sales and etc. After the meeting we do the Pledge. Fish and Co. hasthis pledge on how we should treat our customers and how we should be to giveexcellent service. It might be a surprise but each morning we pledge it remindsus of how we are and how we’re not.

It starts at 9 in themorning; we prepare every thing we need for the whole day. We make sure that wehave enough backups for the whole day. I was assigned in the pantry andsometimes in the pasta area. If I’m lucky I sometimes go and hang at thegrilling station. People there are amazing. They’re like a family to me.

In all of my blogs, Iusually judge the looks of the dining area but never really seeing what at theback or in the kitchen area. Based on experience, Fish and Co. cleans thekitchen every start of the shift and after shifts. They make sure to sanitizebefore cooking. Clean is Healthy! Once a week they have pest control whichmakes it more a reliable restaurant.

The servers are dressed innavy blue which matches the theme of the restaurant. They have their ownguards. They have a receptionist, outside tables for the smoking area and theirown restrooms. Before they have a menu on the wall but this time they haveunder the sea wall paper, which kind of puts you on a more colorful atmosphere.

The place is still clean asI’ve started my On the Job Training. Everything was very appealing and veryattractive. Fish & Co. accepts reservation for bulk orders, they even havetheir catering services, they accept cash and credit cards. They also havepremier shows or sports broadcast for a fair amount.

Fish & Co. Specialtiesare; 1) Seafood Platter P800++ which has their freshest clamsand mussles, cream dory, calamari, shrimp and their delicious seafood rice. 2) Fish& Chips P400++, they have different kinds of fish & chips theyhave the regular ones and they also have the ones that has stuffing in themthen they are fried to perfection. And their flavored fries! 3) SeafoodCurry P650.00 is also a best seller, the spicy coconut sauce andthe curry and the seafood that goes along with it! You have to try this dish!

For their wines, they havea few selections but they really don’t have the permanent ones, but mostly youshould expect a couple of varieties of white wine since they serve moreseafood. They also have cocktails and mocktails that are to die for.

PersonallyI tried their Seafood curry and Seafood Platter and it really tasted amazing!The pork chops with basilico toppings. One of a kind! Two thumbs on thosedishes.

The place was full, so Iand my very loving boyfriend decided to sit outside. The receptionist, Danicawas able to give us the menu, what was the soup of the day and she was veryfriendly. After a while, our server which happens to be a supervisor as wellnamed Mr. Paul Camay, took our orders. He was able to improvised us withrecommendations and etc. He was very friendly as well, knowing it was close to10pm, he was dressed up properly and no stains! Good Job on that!

For our drinks, I had theraspberry fizz . And he had bottomless Coke.

We had an appetizer whichis Fried Calamari P435.00 – you have an option, if you want itgrilled or fried.. I like the fried calamari; they put some sort of spice whichmakes the dish more appetizing and encouraging in a way. I like it!

I had the PrawnFettuccine P595.00 – one of my favorites. It’s with a home-made sauce-chopped chili in creamy garlic sauce with mushroom. The ones that I had in thepast, the pasta is al dente and it was fine but the one that I just had was abit over cooked and the sauce started to curdle a little. But it really didn’tmatter since the taste was really good and the mushroom had a certain kick tothe dish, prawns were very delicious.

My boyfriend chose Breaded Chicken Piggyback P435.00 –It has the piggyback because it has toppings. The Chicken breast Fillet istopped with shrimp, marinara sauce and mozzarella au gratin. This is actually anew dish. I’d be honest, we really didn’t like the dish that much, there’s toomuch going on. And the pasta was very chewy and it was kind of dry for mytaste. “Makunat” The chicken was cooked perfectly, the sauce was tasty and themozzarella, who wouldn’t want some cheese. We didn’t finish the dish, we justtook to go and left the spaghetti.

Ihad to sty a bit longer, so we ordered a couple of alcoholic beverages. Myboyfriend was simple, so he just ordered a few bottles of beer SanMiguel Super Dry – P90.00 each. As I mention, there were a lot tochoose from so I asked Bernard, if he would be kind enough to help me pick onedrink that is great. And he was really nice and he had a serious eyes but hewas cool. He recommended the Passionade P175.00. It’s a mixed ofPassion Fruit and Vodka. I will say it is a very good drink! It was veryrefreshing and it really didn’t taste vodka at all. You can orderprobably 3 more and you won’t be drunk. It came out with a regular glass.

Andfor my family from the back of the house thank you for giving me a freedessert! A Hot Fudge Chocolate Cake P190.00 – it’s a very moistchocolate fudge, served with vanilla ice cream and glazed more chocolate syrup.This is also one of the many dishes that I prepared with them. I missed it.*sigh* Thank You guys!

I’ve waited for such a longtime to blog about Fish and Co Moa branch. Thanks to my boyfriend who went withme. I love you so much! I enjoyed every minute of it. And to the manager Ms.Maricel Gannaban, thank you so much for remembering me.

I remembered crying when meand my schoolmates who joined the team as well was about to end our OJT, I wascrying really hard and felt I was about to lose something in my life so dear. Imissed the people in Fish and Co. I missed every thing.

My dearest readers and viewers from where ever you are from.. these past few days I've been very happy with the outcome of my food adventures.

"patawad mga kaibigan kung hindi kaagad ako nakapag blog.." hehehe

Lately I've been given an opportunity to visit some of the hippest and coolest resto there is in Manila, which is very kind of them. I will be visiting your stores soon.

The thing about blogging is…. BEING YOURSELF! Doesn’t matter whether it is bad or good! As long as you write what is in your head going to the vein of your hands. You just need to write or in this case type everything that your mind dictates. I will be honest in all my blogs and I will make sure that people will learn from my blog.

As most of you know I stopped working for call center due to personal and very sensitive matter plus the fact that I miss eating and adventuring on the newest resto and their specialties.. So as a hobby, with a big appetite and being the “masyadong gala” that I am, I eat then blog!

October 15, 2011, my mom was too lazy to cook lunch she just decided to go to Robinsons Midtown which is the only Mall that is near to my apartment and eat there. While trying to find a restaurant there we passed by CYMA again! As mention in my previous blog about CYMA Robinsons Midtown, I was very very very satisfied and happy with the first visit. I gave them a 2 THUMBS UP! Words can’t describe how excellent their service was.

My Dad, being the pickiest eater among the family checked out the menu first making sure they have what he wants. (yep! That’s my dad!) So as my family checked the displayed menu, the crew, (as they always do) put a smile on their faces and just welcomed us as if it’s our first time. Who wouldn’t be encouraged to sit and dine in to the elegant ambiance that they have.

So we sat near the entrance, Mars (the ever dearest receptionist) introduced us to our server named “Jaeyang”. I’m not really sure if I spelled that correctly and I’m really terrible with names. I’m sorry “Jaeyang”. (he told me that he likes KPOP, that’s why he’s name was a resembles). Please bare with me.. I hope the next visit, I will memorize all of your names. He was dressed neatly and He was very Charming. He has a serious eyes but it didn’t stopped him from smiling.

And again.. “school mate from PWU” parating kong nakakalimutan ang name mo! I do hope you could forgive me with this. But your Manager certainly knows who you are. I always like how people greets every guests, even though it is very late. You guys still have a smile on your faces. Sana hindi ito sa umpisa lang.

So we sat there… waiting for our orders, which by the way took forever because we were so slow in choosing which to have. We were such a chaos family. We were really laughing hard and trying to crack silly jokes to our servers.

As a family, we always loved salad, any kind of salad. So we got the Roka Salata P495.00 (To share), their best selling salad. I’m not really a fan of aragula but my dad and mom loves it. And just as soon “Jaeyang” described what’s in the salad. They just went for it. “Ah ok! Sige yung nalang!”

My mom, who terribly missed the feast in Libya, ordered 2 chops of lamb with roasted potato wedges topped with parmesan cheese and greens on the side lemon wedge. It is called CYMA Lamb Chops P690.00 (Loin Rack Chops). I’m not sure if this is charcoal –grilled or oven roasted chops. It really didn’t taste any smoked wood or anything like that, but the aroma and the flavor are nice. Important thing for me and so as my mom, every time we buy Lamb chops, it’s NOT FRESH! It’s amazing how CYMA keeps their meat fresh and “hindi mabaho/malansa”. Thumbs up!

My mother’s comment on this was the meat was not tender but it is cooked. The taste is perfect and the sauce of the lamb was incredible and the potatoes had a kick to it - it’s very soft and the aroma was great.

If there’s one person who knows STEAK in the family, that would be my brother, RJ. He sure knows how to have it, how he likes it and how it supposes to taste like. He, together with my dad and my sister (Rosalie) ordered CYMA Fillet Mignon P500.00. The mignon was topped with Flat Feta Cheese with crushed garlic. I think it was pan-seared then baked. The cheese adds saltiness to the fillet. The sauce has an authenticity to it. Lemony and Pepper like sauce.

The beef fillet reminded my brother of the taste in a local restaurant in Libya called “Las Cala” (a fused French-Italian Cuisine) and the sauce is amazing. He said the tenderness of the beef is not that good but the taste and flavor is perfect.

And as for me I ordered a very cheap dish yet so messy to eat, Chicken Gyro P160.00 with roasted potatoes. YUM OH! This is similar to a Shawarma, the pita bread is thicker and it has a different sauce to it. The veggies that are used tasted fresh coriander and onion and tomatoes. Everything is simple yet plentiful.

Just a secret my beloved and favorite staff of CYMA, my family likes your restaurant. Whether or not the meat is tender but the taste is GREAT? Who cares if it’s not tender or cooked “medium-rare”. It’s the taste that matter or probably it should still be “eat-able”. Both my parents are above the age of 50 so it’s normal that the tenderness of a mignon is not right for their teeth and tongue. (oooopsss… sorry mom and dad!) I tasted a slice, it was just the right touch or pinch of how it’s suppose to be.

For my brother, he loved it! And I believe he told “Jaeyang” He would return for another Mignon. Unfortunately we had to go back to Rizal. He said he, liked how people served in CYMA. He was actually expecting an earlier scream of “OPAH” but fortunately when he was almost done with his dish, another guest ordered a specialty which enables servers to scream/greet “OPAH”.

Drinks were the same. Lemonade and Soft drinks. The good thing about a casual or a fine dining restaurant you get to instruct or request or customize their dishes. “please no garlic on any dish” ; “separate the dressing from the mixed greens” ; things like this makes a guest/customer feel welcome and they feel ,that as a server or a staff from a CLASS A restaurant, actually cares for them. Giving more tissues, checking the guests of how they liked their food, asking them if they still need something or something that guests will say “aba! Ang galing naman ng service nila!”.

Personally , I get tired. That’s a fact. But giving service especially in the hospitality industry, we learn how to control our weaknesses and our disabilities. If you want to want an establishment to be known, why not give it your best. Out of any restaurants I’ve been to this year 2011, CYMA Robinsons Midtown is my TOP 1 Best Restaurant for Year 2011. I would like to tell the Director of the CYMA Restaurants to give tap on the back or if it would be granted to give MR. Gerald Flores, a big raise. He disciplines his staff very well. That’s very rare in restaurants. (here I go again with names I hope I spelled or I got it right, Mr. Flores. Please forgive me for forgetting names.) But you know who you are! Good Job!

Oh before I even forget.... Thank you for giving as the Apple Pie with caramel and Vanilla ice cream dessert. Milopita P175.00. Fillo Pastry (Flour based Wrapper) formed into triangles with glazed syrup, wallnuts and again vanilla ice cream! It was really good. We were actually planning to have dessert somewhere else but you gave us that dessert and right then and there we knew we had a complete and ultimate lunch! KWAIZ MIYA MIYA!!! GOOD JOB!

To my dearest viewers and readers… Please visit CYMA Greek Taverna at the 2^nd floor of Robinson’s Midtown, Ermita Manila. You will surely enjoy the food (not just the food), the clean and relaxing ambiance, the most amazing staff, those charming managers and obviously the whole Greek style. GIMIKAINAN SESSIONS 4: Abella's Residence in Binangonan Rizal

Myfamily loves grilled dishes.

We started grilling when were verylittle. My dad would build an improvised griller in Libya and we’d all take astick and grill any meat that my mom prepared. And it went on until my dad gota really nice job and we bought our very own big grilling equipment. When we went here in the Philippines it’s not really advisable especially when you live ina condo to have a charcoal grilled meat. Not unless you have your own house anda yard to do the grilling. So my mom and dad bought a house in Binangonan,Rizal, and it’s a beautiful house.

The griller that we have right nowis actually just a cheap one. We had to buy a cheap one because we were hostinga party one day that we really didn’t have any time to buy the really expensiveone the one that works on gas. But we were lucky to buy this one because it’sbeen ok for the past 6 months. I, together with my best friend Jessica boughtthis for P3000.00++ in SM MOA and I just want to share a brief story about it.When I saw this griller, I figured it could be disassembled and if we buy it,it wouldn’t be hard to carry it and load it in a trunk. Unfortunately, wethought wrong, it can’t be disassembled and you have to carry the whole thing.You know how MOA is. It’s big and the taxi bay is way too far from thedepartment store. We walked a long way and trying hard to take care of thegriller since it’s cheap and it might break easily. I was sweating really bad, kepton complaining why I bought such a thing. But eventually we took a cab, wrapthe whole thing with an improvised rope. An etc. it was really bad. Yeah that’sthe story of our mighty griller. Hahaha!

So what do we have?

Made some Tacos - Mom's Request..- basically I just grilled/toasted the taco shells, then filling; ground pork, ranch dressing, onion and ice berg lettuce, bell pepper grilled, tomatoes grilled and cheese. Actually we just used the ones that were available in the house. But you can use ground beef, the for the dressing you can mix cream cheese with dried herbs then sour cream. I grilled the bell peppers because I like the smokey flavor and so as with the tomatoes.

So on the grill - we have Hotdogs, Chicken and pork. Usually we do our own version of marinating sauce but since we have those leftovers from last week that we bought at supermarkets. We just finish them off. Maybe next time I can share some ingredients on how we do our marinating sauce.

The skewered bbq costs P30.00++ each stick in the meat section in your nearest supermarkets. It's actually pork. They also have chicken so you can try that.

Tender Juicy hot dogs. We usually buy the Jumbo sized ones. Its bigger and it takes forever to finish. HAHA!

We actually wanted the inasal flavored ones. but since we saw that there were a lot of garlic cloves in it, we just chose the bbq flavor ones which costs P55.00 each leg part. Its actually affordable since it's really huge.

my friends told me to post the next restaurant/ establishment that i'll be visiting and i said that's a good/great idea. so people can expect me or probably join me for a while and see if we agree on something. hmm.. we'll see, so here it goes...

i'm craving for seafood and I use to have my OJT in one of the bistro group restaurants, i think i mentioned this in my past blogs. where else can you find the best fish and chips in the philippines? and feel as if you're in a ship?

I will be visiting FISH & CO. MOA on saturday October 22, 2011. I hope to see you guys there and hear those handsome servers say "Welcome Aboard!"

GIMIKAINAN SESSIONS 3 : ARUBA!

This is just a short blog.

Again i just found some pictures taken about a month ago .. so this was way too long ago..

In METRO WALK the amazingly insane place to hang out with friends is located in Ortigas.

You can practically be there as early as 6pm and stay there the next day probably around 6am.

There's a lot of bars and restaurants in Metro Walk. One that we usually hang out is at ARUBA!

Aruba is a bar that is classy and elegant and comforting. It was one of those bars that is next in line to embassy bar or LAX or seventh high and etc.
Service was ok. It's a bar anyways. I loved the concept of having tables on the outside where you can just see the performance of the band. in metro walk there's this "center stage" as people call it. and there's a band on a particular day. and the bars that are surrounded are pulling out chairs and tables just so to add customers. they have guests inside the bar and outside the bar.

Best Mojito P140.00 -this drink is not very strong and it is made of five ingredients: white rum, sugar (traditionally sugar cane juice), lime juice, sparkling water and mint. I ordered 4 glasses of this and I was fine. I wasn't tipsy, it's actually a ladies drink.

Mozzarella Fried P280.00 - A typical fried mozzarella cheese sticks. with a marinara dipping sauce. Nothing new, it is what it is expected to be. haha..

Garlic Chicken P280.00 - I should say, I wasn't expecting that it would be a regular fried chicken. I thought it would be stir fried with chilies and garlic and butter, but this is just a flavored garlic breading. Oh well disappointments.. hahaha!

Anyways we were just there to have fun and drink. This is just to share..

Short Food Blog : On the Go

It was dinner time and it was really late.

while waiting for a cab with my sister, we saw this tiny store infront of the taxi bay in Robinson's Manila called Chicken Inasal Bacolod. My sister likes green so the store's color is green which made us to try it more. so we left the line and just went there!

It was like an improved carinderia/canteen style. The table and chairs are made out of mono blocks. They have a Filipino field to it. The table setting was simple they had their condiments there, which is rare in some Philippine restaurants. The regular condiments that Filipinos love are "toyo,suka, patis" that what you get. And we ask for "kalamansi" which is a tiny version of a lemon or lime. and of course the unending request for tissues. We love using our bare hands to eat so we can't stop asking for tissues(which by the way is so thin that one sheet is not enough! ang nipis nipis na nga konti pa ang binibigay! hayy naku!).

Our servers were nice and friendly. Service was not bad at all. In fact every time we ask for something they immediately provide us. He even made a gesture of suggesting to try their "Inihaw na pusit" which is a surprise since they were just like a small store. They were recommending dishes already. I love that! They're cool! hahaha! Anyways we really didn't want to eat seafood at that time so we just ordered the regular ones.

We tried their promo which is like a Combo Meal, you get to choose any two viands that you like with on P300.00++ amount. There will be drinks and garlic rice. We also ordered Chopsuey for only P68.00.

The Chicken was so juicy and tender, the flavors were impeccable, it was char-grilled into perfection. it was served hot and warm. It was really tasty. I liked it. I finish it up and licked the bones as well.

The Sisig was "bitin", it was too oily and greasy. I like that they had bell peppers in it and green chilies and a lot of onions. The taste was good. I would order another one, (Since Ms. Fat Girl here loves sisig) but less oil perhaps.

Chopsuey was soggy. The taste was good though. I like that it's not the usual dish that i use to eat at restaurants which is bland and doesn't taste good at all. I wanted more crunchy and crispy veggies but in this dish the veggies were soggy. But again the taste was good. My dad would've liked this dish.

And for our drinks we ordered the Sago't Gulaman P35.00 - It was too sweet for my taste we had to ask for water so that every time we sip a few we had to add small amount of water to lessen the sweetness.

RANT BLOG 2 : RECIPE

and again.. here's another blog of undesirable circumstances..

i'm not sure which is worst, this blog or the other blog.

so me and my friend Jessica went to Robinsons Manila, she wanted me to go with her to buy groceries and so i did.

i haven't taken my lunch yet and i wanted to eat in a restaurant that i haven't tried for a long time or haven't tried at all.

Jessica said that there are delicious menu from Recipe, why don't we give it a try. There was something that I really don't like about that resto for some reason. If you're outside and you take a look at that resto, it is too boring, it was too gloomy for me.

As we got in the restaurant, they were able to greet us properly, but was not able to assist us in getting a sit. there were no smile on any of their faces. They were snobbish! I don't know if it's about how we looked at that time, or what! It was a sunday and I was too lazy to dress up and be pretty. So i wear my leggings and a normal shirt without any makeup on and it was just simple. Those crew were like staring from head to foot like non-stop. They were looking at us like they were wondering "anong ginagawa ng mga tao dito mukha namang walang pera." that's how i see it. Judging by the way YOU GUYS STARE AT US!

The place was not very clean. It still had dust at the side, there were unnecessary stuff that were put on the side which is unattractive. In every restaurant there's a bussing station or the part where the orders come out, what they have is like a very long and short height window and it was really boring and it was really a wreck.

Why are there people like that? Why are you being judgmental, don't you guys have any manners? Stereotyping is BAD~! And I hate it! you guys are not fit to be servers.

Recipe is sort of a Filipino type of restaurant, based on the menu that they gave us most of it is Filipino dishes. Their house specialties are Kare Kare, Gising Gising, Crispy Tilapia, Lechon Kawali and many more. We just wanted to end the hunger that we were feeling at that time.

So here where the tragedy starts..

Our server,who was unfriendly, lazy and worst server of all time, was not able to provide us any description of the food or any or those stuff. After ordering, he was not able to repeat our orders and make sure he got it correctly. HE was the worst server!

What did we have?

GisingGising - It is chopped beans with coconut milk. It was not over cooked. I really liked this dish. I would order another one. Presentation wise. Not really good. It came out in a bowl like you were eating in a canteen.

Lechon Kawali - I AM A MEAT LOVER! I LOVE MEAT! THERE'S A REASON WHY I TITLED MYSELF AS A FAT GIRL! THIS IS PROBABLY THE WORST LECHON KAWALI I'VE EVER TASTED. IT CAME WITH A SWAMP CABBAGE OR KANGKONG. THE LEAVES TASTED SAND. IT WAS LIKE SPOILED. I ATE ONE SLICE OF PORK AND THEN THERE IT WAS! THE FREAKING INSECT! NOT ONLY DID THE PLACE WAS UNCLEANED THERE WERE TINY ROACHES THAT WERE ON THE SIDE OF THE CHAIRS/ SOFAS, THERE WAS A WEIRD INSECT IN MY FOOD! AN INSECT! IT WAS VERY TINY BUT IT WAS DISGUSTING! WE ASKED ONE SERVER TO TAKE A LOOK AT THE LECHON KAWALI. AND SHE SAW IT TOO! SHE ASKED TO CHANGE THE ORDER BUT WE DECIDED TO GET A DISH. WE LET IT PASS! NOW AFTER CHANGING THE MENU, THOSE PEOPLE AT THE KITCHEN STARTED STARING AT US! LIKE "napaka arte naman nitong mga babaeng ito! nakita pa un?" IN THE FOOD INDUSTRY/BUSINESS, WE ARE TRAINED TO SERVE FOOD CLEAN! PUT THAT IN YOUR HEAD SIR! BEFORE EVEN GIVING/SERVING THE FOOD, CHECK IT! GOT THAT? GEEZ! HAVE RESPECT! NANGLALASON BA KAYO?

Crispy Tilapia - It was crunchy, crispy and delicious! good come back. I like their intake on this dish. it is very easy to eat, no need to use your hands to eat it. I'd order another one! Very good dish!

Servers were murmuring which is very rude. As soon as they see me staring at them, their mouth/lips starts to murmur. Not a good and liable servers. MAGRESIGN NA KAYO!

If the leaders/ managers of the RECIPE Restaurants reads this blog, It would be good , so that they know what the people under them are doing in their restaurant. Recipe can do so much more. I hope this will serve as a lesson to all of them!

Finally at Chili's Bar and Grill

Ican't count how many times I wanted to eat at Chili's Bar and Grill.

Ittook me 2 months before I finally decided to check it out.

I andmy special someone planned to have dinner in Makati. So we did.

Itwas late but fortunately for Chili's on weekdays they are open till 12am. Andon the weekends it opens until 2am.

I’vealways kept an eye on Chili’s Bar and Grill. I’ve been craving for it. And I’vebeen forcing my boyfriend to join me. So he finally did. Thanks Love!

Welove spicy food. Anything hot and spicy we both like it.

Whenwe arrived there, we thought we had to wait to get seats since there were a lotof people were dining in. But fortunately for us, there were available seats.

Iread that Chili’s started with Hamburgers. “Createdas a hamburger restaurant/chili house with a uniquely Southwestern flair,Chili's served homemade- quality food, draft beer and frozen drinks in a casualatmosphere.“

Iwasn’t really feeling the servers at first, specifically the ones that wereassigned at the entrance. They looked tired. They looked sleepy. They were notreally pleasing. Probably it was already 9pm and they were so tired that theyreally needed to show their guests how tired they were. And to think they weretwo of them that time.

Sothey gave us seats and took off. The girl wasn’t able to introduce to us whowill be our server or what’s on the menu or anything like that. She was justtoo tired. Oh well she was tired. That’s it.

Theplace was very colorful. It was captivating. Mexican style architecture. Tablesand chairs were clean as well. I loved their ceramic designed tables. Tablesetting is done once the customers are seated. Then server gives the menu.

Anyways,everything changed when Laine, the sweetest and kindest looking lady, who was verypleasing to look at, she was always smiling, she was very friendly, and she wasvery happy to serve us. Even though it was 9pm she was still active and didn’tlook tired. Her clothes were clean and she looked fresh.

Itold her it was our first time so she should help us what to get. She was ableto provide us recommended dishes. She also explained which dish is one of theirbest sellers and what is a ‘must try’.

There’sa lot to choose from. From steaks to seafood you name it. They have it all atChili’s.

Iwould recommend the Presidente MargaritaP300.00 - Hand-shaken Margarita made with Jose Cuervo Gold Tequila, GrandMarnier and Brandy.

Top Shelf andFrozen Top Shelf Flavored Ritasare also one of their best sellers.

Therewere so many to choose from, good thing Lain was there to help us choose. Sheexplained every dish that we ask her.

Sofor my drinks I ordered the PresidenteMargarita. Which was absolutely amazing, I couldn’t get enough of it. Itcame with a tiny shaker. Then on the margarita glass they used sea salt totrace the ends of the glass. It was refreshing and obviously good! And myboyfriend got himself a bottomless Sprite which was served in a beer mug whichwas kind of cute.

ForStarters we tried the Triple Play P475.00 - It has their three favoritestarters which are Chicken Crispers, Buffalo Wings and Southwestern Egg rollswith 3 different sauces(Honey-mustard, blue cheese and ranch) for dipping. Itwas worth it. I loved the chicken crispers. The Buffalo wings were very softand tender and the egg rolls were warm and very delicious. I can’t say anythingbad. A must try!

Igot the Cajun Chicken Pasta P485.00 –This is a pasta dish with sliced Cajun-seasoned chicken breast on penne pastawith creamy Alfredo sauce, diced tomatoes, parmesan cheese and garlic toast. Thespring onions were overpowering the dish. But I can taste the Cajun flavor.More sauce would probably make it perfect. The pasta was cooked al dente. Iwasn’t sure with the garlic toast. It wasn’t toasted enough but its ok. I likedit that way. Chicken was grilled perfectly as well.

Andas for my boyfriend. He got the GrilledBaby Back Ribs P570.00 – A Full rack of ribs which is triple-basted with themost remarkable BBQ sauce made by Chili’s, served with sweet corn on the coband home style fries. But my boyfriend wanted rice so he replaced the fries.

Chili’sBar and Grill offers Kid-friendly dishes as well. They accept credit cards.They also recommend calling for reservations. I’m not sure about their corkagefees though, since it is already a bar there’s no need to bring any alcoholicbeverages, they probably have everything you want.

Weboth enjoyed our dinner. Had a few drinks. After my two servings of PresidenteMargarita I ordered a on-the-rocks Khalua with cherry. And he ordered 3 bottlesof San Miguel Super Dry. Which was very dry! I enjoyed the food and I washappy. It wasn’t upsetting.

Themanager though didn’t check up on us but the bar was jam-packed so I guess itwas alright. After a while Laine ended her shift and introduce a new server who’sname is Ken. He was always smiling and he was giving us a few jokes, which Itotally appreciate. See here’s the thing a lot of servers lose the attitude ofbeing alive and active. They lose their ability to smile to guests especiallyat night. They become lazy, tired-looking and eventually sleepy. Thumbs up toLaine and Ken for being so friendly! You should receive a tap on the shoulderfrom your managers.

Anyways,we didn’t had room for dessert which is unfortunate because I heard theirMolten Chocolate Cake is to die for. Oh well probably next time. I enjoyed thefood and the drinks. Our servers who were so patient and kind. Thank You verymuch.

Iwill be back, hopefully with my family. We’ll try to think of it as the nextFamily Fave Resto. We’ll see…

RANT BLOG 1 : Kangaroo Jack

October12, 2011 me and my lovely sister went to Robinsons Manila to buy some gifts for our sister. So we did. And afterwards she was really complaining of how hungry she was. And the first thing that came to her mind is "Kangaroo Jack" I've been there once and to be honest it was not really welcoming. It was my sister's birthday the next day so we celebrated a mini-advance birthday party. And I decided to give it a second chance...

Kangaroo Jack. Sheeshh... where to begin. Ok. here it is. The receptionist, she was neat, clean and pretty. BUT! There's a big BUT, she was not able to assist or accompany us in getting a seat,we stayed and stared at her for a minute or two but still she kept on gossiping with the old lady and totally IGNORED US! what a.... *zip it!* And take note guys, the manager saw what she was doing and He didn't even bothered to help me and my sister in getting seats! He just waited for his other crew to help us! Is that the was a manager is suppose to act? seriously?

There were a lot of servers, but only one who was very kind enough to let us choose our seat and waited for us to settle in. They're dressed up like their adventurers or archaeologists something like that. Browns and Dark Browns are their basic uniform colors, managers are wearing jeans. The staff had a different world. They look tired, they looked lazy and they were not really smiling.

The place was clean and obviously it was newly built. The set up had an outback kind of a theme to it. There were also african-like statues, had like a wild life theme or forest friendly environment, something like that. Utensil/ table set up are done upon entering the store. I like their architecture and interior. I don't know if the concept or by handbook it's more on the fast food chain kind of establishment, probably price basis it is but still I don't really know which class they are.

For our drinks; I ordered a Four Season Juice P30.00++. And for my sister it is a Mango Shake P40.00++.

My sister ordered their Porterhouse Steak P200.00++. It was sizzling hot, not that tender, the corn cob was grilled, Java rice was a bit dry but the flavor or the taste is good.

I had the Pesto p150.00++. I'm sorry... BUT THIS IS THE WORST PESTO I'VE EVER HAD! IN THEIR MENU THE DESCRIPTION SAYS "PASTA IS AL DENTE SAUTEED IN OLIVE OIL, WITH FRESH BASIL PASTE WITH GARLIC BREAD" THE PASTA WAS OVER COOKED, IT WAS TOO OILY, IT'S LIKE YOU HAVE AN OIL SOUP, AND THE BASIL PASTE? I NEVER TASTED THAT! TRUE THAT PESTO IS SUPPOSE TO BE A BIT OILY BUT NOT TOO MUCH! IT SHOULD BE HEALTHY OIL, THE CHICKEN WAS HARD TO CHEW AND IT COULDN'T GET ANY BETTER... THERE WAS A VERY DISGUSTING, SHORT AND CURLY HAIR IN THAT PLATE! I LOST MY APPETITE AND THEN JUST HAD THE PLATE SET ASIDE! I CAN'T BELIEVE IT! IT WAS REALLY BAD! I NEVER WANT TO EAT IN THERE! EVER AGAIN!

BAD SERVICE. BAD FOOD. DIRTY AND NOT TO MENTION , UNHEALTHY! WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE! "ok lang sana kung straight ang hair, it really looked as if it was really curly. parang galing sa kung saan! if you guys can only see kung gaano kadiri ung buhok na un!"

After my sister was done eating, we immediately paid the bill and talked to one of their servers, and said that there was something nasty in that pasta and I can't bare it! It was really "kadiri!" And run towards the exit! It felt like there was someone following us! REALLY BAD!

i'm sorry guys! this is how i am! if you want to get good review, do your job well! sinong gustong may dumi ang pagkain nila? NOT ME! I am being honest here! If i like something, I will blog it! If it's a bad experience for me, well it's still something to blog about! Before I blog, I make sure to give each establishment a chance to make it up to me, even without knowing that I am Food Blogger/Critic. It suppose to be equal, all that enters your restaurant is a guest. I don't know if they have ethics or hospitality training, but during those two visits... I never felt welcomed or taken care of. They really didn't care at all. Well I don't blame them if they don't have any service training, why would they care if all they really want is to sell dishes and just get paid. DONE!

Clean and sanitize your dishes and make sure no curly pubic hair is on the plate! GOT THAT?

Old school drinking sessions

Went to look for old photos of my me and my friends having a gimikainan sessions. and fortunately i have here some of it...
So i believe this was on a weekday. It was my sem break and my best friend's no work mode. And so one of her suitors (guess who it is on the following pictures).. invited us to drink out and just chilax bond and etc. so we did.

they came to pick me up and drove over to san juan. there was this tiny and simple place. called Joey's 4xForce Grill and Restaurant. They had a python in that bar. Well they say it's a lucky charm for the bar's owner. That's why they have that.
the place was open, there were a few roofs to protect customers from storm and rain.Setup - the regular tissues and ash trays. No condiments though. Steel chairs and glass tables, it's similar to garden tables and chairs in yellow. There two sides that's how i describe it on where we're seated. The other side had wooden chairs and tables. They also had a big garage where obviously it's a resto bar that began fixing old cars and trucks. and made a bar out of it. There were 3 monitors to keep the customers peeking from time to time. usual customers who goes there are car lovers. racers and any engine running knowledgeable people.

So why did I feature this Bar? It's because of their HUGE SERVING! and again.. i'm a big fan of HUGE SERVINGS. Its actually a proof that I will spend money in the right spendings. Well even though I was not the one who spent for this Gimik. HAHA!

Sizzling Pork Sisig - P200.00 - The sisig was about 400 - 500g of meat. It was a lot. Usually in some bars they serve their sizzling plates in the regular serving which is 200g per plate. But this one was different. it was huge! HEAVY. Their sisig was hot and sizzling. very delicious. i'm a sisig lover. you can ask any of my friends and family. dry or not. I love sisig. It is one of my guilty pleasures in life.

Nachos P350.00 - Nachos Chips, ground beef, tomatoes, onions, jalapenos and of course cheese. Who wouldn't want that? It is one BIG/MASSIVE servings of nachos. I know it's kinda small in the picture. But it is huge I tell you. well apart from the Nachos that TGIFridays serve. but this one is way cheaper.

Well with those few "pulutan" we ordered three buckets of RED HORSE. and afterwards some of them became tipsy. hahaha! which i totally enjoyed watching.

I love steaks... I love them!

I usually tell my boy friend that I’m craving for steaks even though we had it like a day before or something like that. I actually say that all that time just so he could agree. After his shift, we met at SM MOA to have dinner then went RACKS.

RACKS is known for their tender and “fall of the bone” steaks. They have this technique in grilling them. I don’t know how you do it but it really tastes good. Their best sellers are the Baby Back Ribs that starts off with P500.00++. Their Hickory Smoked flavored Chicken that starts of at P169.00, is also known. Grown-up or kids also loves coming back for their Mac and Cheese – P55.00. I’ve been in this restaurant a couple of times.

These are some of their services ;Takes Reservations ,Walk-Ins Welcome, Good For Groups, Good For Kids, Take Out, Delivery, Waiter Service and Outdoor Seating. They accept credit cards, Visa, Mastercard or American Express.

I love the bright white base architecture. I like the touch of greens and yellows. The chairs and tables are made of wood, they’re very soft and neat looking. I like how they made a concept of exposing their brick oven, so that customers will be able to see how their steaks are grilled. MOA branch can use little bit of cleaning. But I don’t blame them there were really a lot of diners during that time so, there wasn’t really enough time to sweep the floors or wipe it up.

The receptionist was nice and was able to assist us in getting a seat. But was not able to introduce us to any servers, she just hand the menu and that’s it. Then after a while, a guy went to us and introduces himself, and his name is Sherwin.

Since it’s a steak house and all the incredible sauces or basting sauce for all the steaks are very juicy and messy and not to mention all the servers are wearing white, our server had a few spots on his clothes which I believe came from the steaks. He wasn’t able to recommend any dishes for us so we really had to choose on our own.

But once m and my boyfriend picked a dish we liked he was able to explain what was in it and what are our options which is a big thing because usually as soon as we get our orders done, they just write it down and just leave. That’s it! He did a good job in explaining and repeating our orders..

My boyfriend had the bottomless Ice Tea – P80.00++. It was cute because the served it in a beer mug, so at first we thought it was a beer but it really wasn’t so that’s cute. And I had the Pink Lemonade - P80.00++, as mentioned I like big serving, unfortunately for this one there wasn’t really any option to have it bottomless and it was not enough.

For our appetizer we had the Buffalo Wings – P207.00 (3 pcs). It’s not that spicy. It has a very light color. It wasn’t that warm either. I like the mild taste, a little bland for my taste but it’s still ok. I would recommend offering this to kids.

My boyfriend had the Baby Back Ribs – P425.00 (Half Slab), served with corn bread, a choice of side dish which in his case he had the Asian Slaw, Mac & Cheese and steamed rice. The Asian Slaw was a bit dry but tasty and delicious. Mac & Cheese is to die for. And the baby back ribs was so tender and soft! He finished the whole thing.

I wanted a real steak. I diet – killer steak. I ordered the Beef Ribs – P316.00 (Quarter Slab) – served with corn bread and your choice of side dishes. I had the Potato Salad and Mac & Cheese. I loved the Potato salad. Not too warm and not too cold. I like the taste very Italian. I really liked the ribs. It’s very soft and very tender. I could have another one if I was asked to.

So.. here's the deal.. if you're looking for a hot and super delicious and of course affordable steaks you can always visit RACKS. i enjoyed it.. and surely you will to. Hope you enjoyed...Thanks for reading..

I discovered this amazing pudding from my Godmother's Daughter. My Ate Michelle. After her shift she bought this simple pastry for us and as soon as I scoop a spoonful of that pudding.. I was inlove! I can't get enough of it I had to finish it.

So today.. i just wanted to eat and drink figaro while wait for my friends to arrive and to blog about this as well since I'm here enjoying my delicious Pudding with Vanilla Sauce P59.00 - The vanilla sauce gives a very wonderful match to the pudding it add a lot of sweetness and it's like heaven.. It's really a world class dish!

With this pudding I ordered my self a good drink - Cappuccino Frost P125.00 - 16oz serving. you can taste the cappucino and it's cold too. It's very refreshing.

Anyways there you have it. Next time you see Figaro Coffee Company. Do try out their pudding ok?

It’s my sister'sbirthday tom. we went to SM to buy some stuff for my parents.

We all decided to eatout for lunch..

We went to SM Manila.

After buying andshopping..

We thought of arestaurant that had Chinese dishes and at the same time offers Philippinedishes too.

So we thought we tryClassic Savory.

There were a lot ofreceptionist..mostly men.

They were veryfriendly and nice..

They were able togive us seats. We were 7 which occupy long tables.

The place was ok;it’s basically a typical Chinese/Filipino restaurant.Combined. It was not that clean like a fine dining. The usual target ofthis restaurant is the average class which I think is fine.

Classic Savorystarted as a small time “panciteria” in Quiapo I believe in 1950. As itprogress they began serving incredibly awesome fried chicken. Which is probablythe best dish that they have that made the restaurant very famous , branchingnation wide.

Savory’sSpecialties:

SAVORY FriedChicken - Whole Chicken P345.00 – Which is a timeless favorite, it tender andjuicy and very savory.

SAVORY PancitCanton – Solo Order is P190.00 – It’s veryflavorful, the noodles are so tender, the veggies still had crunch to it and itis not greasy.

Lomi Miki Bihon– Solo P195.00 – Served hotHearty thick noodle soup w/ vegetables, seafood and meat--truly a Savoryfavorite

SAVORY ShanghaiRolls or Lumpia Shanghai – P175.00 – Crispy on the outside, warm and cooked perfectly in the inside. Ithas a perfectly seasoned ground pork.

Chinese StylePork Asado P195.00 – A tender Porkslices in sweet soy sauce marinade.

Our server, (I forgothis name) was able to give us the menu. But he was not able to give us anyrecommendations or any house specials. He was a bit shy and he looked hungry.So we decided to just take a look at the menu and just choose from it.

I told our server togive us drinks first while waiting for our orders.. so here it is..

Spinach and SeafoodSoup P195.00- Light and Healthy pureed spinach soup w/ minced seafood. This looked awful.It was green and as you look at it it wasn’t really pleasing. BUT! Yes there’sa BUT! It was really really good! I liked the taste of the spinach and therewere a few seafood in there and egg. It was really good. I don’t know it peoplewho will try to taste this would like it! BUT FOR ME IT WAS REALLY GOOD!

Combo C 1 P385.00 – This wasmy Dad’s Choice. He and my Mom shared this Combo Meal which is obviously goodfor two persons. It had 1/2 Chicken,Pancit Canton, Salt & Pepper Spareribs, Rice, Special Turon, and 2 glassesof Tropical Cooler. The Chicken was hotand very tender and juicy, the pancit was warm too, Spareribs were “bitin” it wasn’t enough for my Dad andmy Mom, they also had rice that goes with it 2 cups. The Turon was kinda soggywhich I didn’t like. Tropical Cooler was ok.

Combo A – I’m not sure if this is Combo A or what this combinationis called. But it had a ½ Chicken, Pancit Canton and Spring Rolls. I forgot howmuch was it too. The spring rolls were big not like the once that is usuallyserved like the once that you see in some which the wrapper is so thick and thefilling is so tiny. Don’t you just hate that? “Mahal na nga dinadaya ka pa sa kakainin mo!”

Kangkong w/ Crispy Pork Belly P195.00 - Stir-fried kangkong madespecial with crispy pork belly strips. The Pork belly was ok. Tasted likelechon kawali. There were a lot of kangkong which made the dish look like ithas a big serving. AHUH! you bet i know how to do that! hahaha! The kangkongtasted like there was sand in it. So we didn’t finish that. This dish waschosen by the birthday celebrant.

Lechon Macau P265.00 - This is very similar to Lechon Kawali. Itgoes with a Shrimp Cranklings, a few of it and they had a sauce for the porktoo. I really can't say anything about it because I liked it but not enough toorder another round. My sister Rosalie had to order a pork dish since she hadallergies in chicken and some seafood so just to make sure she has to ordereither pork or beef. And so she did.

Imperial Beef Tenderloin P225.00 - It is a Tenderloin beef slicesw/ robust oriental sauce and onion rings. My brother, RJ, loves beef, steaksand etc. He's a good critic when it comes to meat. He knows! This dish was ok.Simple. It wasn't that tender but it tastes good.

Reservations is a must special for bulk orders. They do accept credit cards. Corkage fees are not necessary. They have catering services specially in big events such as weddings, debuts and etc.

Here's the thing, why can't we improve our SERVICE! I mean it's not just the food, it's also the service why people dine in restaurants.

A few advice; SMILE! Make sure it's clean! And be FRIENDLY! Food should be served no more than 7 minutes! NO DISCRIMINATION! (if you see people wearing slippers and shorts and looks like a trash so what? still give a good service! little did you know, he's the owner of the bank and he likes wearing comfy clothes! that's it!)

I'll give them 3 stars because of the food that's it. Nothing more nothing less. PEACE guys..

I LOVE GREECE!

Who doesn't? honestly? kung tao lang talaga ang greece matagal na akong nagpakasal.

anyways... there's this one greek resto that i never stop going back to. It's called CYMA. It's high time I say something about it.

Cyma serves up greek food that fits the filipino taste buds. Growing up abroad specifically in Libya, made me realize that I still need to test my tasting abilities. It may not be purely authentic greek cuisine, it is OK since it might not blend to the taste of filipinos. It is one of the few that serves Greek Cuisine. And being a fan of the Greek food. I always love going to this restaurant.

I was so excited that CYMA open up a branch in Robinson's Midtown Manila. I feel like we were meant for each other! Thanks God! haha

After getting a package from the Post Office, me and my sister went straight to Robinson's Midtown. We were so hungry and tired. It was also hot. We were all sweaty and exhausted. As soon as we arrived we immediately went to CYMA and sat and took time to calm ourselves down and just relax.

Mars our server. Was very polite and very pleasing. She was very nice to assist us in getting us seats. Knowing how haggard we looked like she immediately asked us what drinks we would like to have so that we still have time to order. Me and my sister ordered Fresh Lemonade. Which was very refreshing.

Anyways I noticed one lantern was not lid up. I don't know what happen but it was really distracting. I hate that the rain or the typhoon destroyed the view of the outside which made the glasses dirty.

They were lacking air-condition. But i know it wasn't anyones fault.

Mars dressed up nicely. She had no stain in her clothes. The tables and Chairs were properly arranged. Silverwares and plates are cleaned. It was hot though. It wasn't the restaurant's fault it was the mall itself. There were technical difficulties.

Servers were very friendly. Manager was neat and clean too. though he was not able to introduce himself to us. Which i beleive is a default when it comes to restaurant/ hospitality ethics. But it was OK since me and my sister were concentrated on the food.

CYMA's specialties are :

Appetizer (Salates)

ROKA SALATE P330.00 for the solo - a best tasting salad. tasty and you can enjoy it. fresh greens tossed with sun-dried tomatoes, shaved Parmesan and on the house Greek vinaigrette, candied wall nuts that adds a sweet wonderful crunch.

Main Dishes / Specialties

PAIDAKIA P650.00 - charcoal-grilled lamb rubbed with crushed peppercorns and olive oil served with a choice of rice-stuffed peppers or Greek roasted potatoes. bursting good flavours. very tender, moist and juicy. One individually can truly enjoy.
Gyros
CHICKEN GYRO P 160.00 - With tomatoes, red onions , tzatziki and wrapped in pita . This is a must try. For under 200 pesos, the dish packs in great value. You'll be full in no time!

They also have great options for wine. which we did not have since it was lunch time and we really didn't want to get tipsy and all that. I believe I read this in one of my book colletions Cyma's white wine includes Lungarotti Pinot Grigio and Monket Bay Sauvignon Blanc.

So.. onto our orders: for our appetizer we ordered CYMA Caesar P250.00 for the Solo - Fresh romaine lettuce, with grated parmesan cheese, vine-ripened tomato huge wedges, canned pitted black olives, croutons were baked ahead of time served with lemon caesar dressing.

Since we have ordered the specilaties before.. we decided to try their Souvlakia Souvlaki (Greek Shish-Kabobs) dishes. so we ordered different types. we had the:

Lamb P450.00 -Skewered lamb chops. big serving. I've always been a fan of big servings. i've mentioned this before growing up in Libya, I was so used to beef, chicken and lamb. the sad part is when I got back here in the philippines. Lamb is not really much of a typically grocery item. aside from being expensive it is NOT FRESH! So with this dish I salute CYMA people! I loved the lamb. it is grilled to perfection. the oiliness and the juicyness is incredible. I LIKED IT ALOT! with fresh vegetables. garlic mayo. and warm peta bread. what's more to ask? OPA!! hahaha!

Steak P430.00 - Skewered beef chunks. as you can see my sister didn't have a hard time cutting that succulent meat.. She was very hungry that she didn't want me to take a picture of her dish. as soon as the server served our orders she was very excited to dig in. the same with the chicken and lamb it was served with warm and delicious pita bread with fresh vegetables and garlic mayo.

Chicken P340.00 - Skewered chicken breast fillet marinated with olive oil a few spices. with fresh roasted veggies. served with garlic mayo and salad with warm pita breads. the tenderness of the chicken cooked perfectly.

And for Dessert or in Greek they say "Glyka" we had the Skolatina P250.00 - Cyma's Molten Chocolate Cake - served with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce. This was a diet killer, painkiller, heaven on earth dessert. One can never resist a temptation that's so hard to fight. The one that you want to make love too. The sensualy desire for food. I described it too much already.. a MUST TRY!

Good thing I notice that one of the servers is my schoolmate. we weren't that close but I knew we went in the same university. He was very kind and patient. I'm sorry I forgot your name but i hope once you read this you'll be able to say that I talked to you. You are doing great and you are always smiling. That's a plus in the hospitality industry. So to all the hospitality establishments and hotels or restaurants , excellent employees comes from The Philippine Women's University where we are trained professionally and exquisitely. (woooohhh!! hahaha!)

Anyways aside from that they accept credit cards. Reservations are sometimes recommended specially if you go with a large group. It's actually easy specially if you want to order ahead of time so you don't have to wait and decide on the spot. Unfortunately they don't have any buffets. Corkage fees starts at P 300.00 pesos like for example if you have any favorite wines that you want to test with the CYMA dishes. If you have any health conscious friends or family members that likes vegetarian dishes, CYMA offers it too.

I am not a FAN OF GARLIC!!

once you say Garlic.. OH HELL NO! NO WAY! and you immediately see me running out the door.

I guess hating garlic came from my dad. Some people tease us as the "ASWANGS". Superticious. Blah Blah.

Anyways... Me and my friends decided to do a mini reunion. And ofcourse being obssesed with food. It was the activity of the night. EAT! EAT! EAT!

So off ot Greenbelt. We were kinda arguing if we'd go to Chilis or Krazy Garlik.

We walk passed chilis around 8pm and it was full. People were in line just to taste the unlimitted nachos.

Not that they don't need to order anything else.hahaha!

Anyways so next stop was Krazy Garlik and yes, there were still available seats. LUCKY us!

Again, Not a fan of GARLIC!

The was a receiving server.. Greeted us kindly. She was smiling and every crew was able to say hi and we were assisted to our seats. There were 3 of us. Our server named Hanie was so fragile and nice.

Kept herself intact even though people started to come in. She was able to serve us properly.

Krazy Garlik is a bistro type of resto that showcases the taste of garlic. On every dish Hanie said. Even after dining they see to it that there should be an aftertaste of garlic before and after dining in with them.

The setting was nice. I love the music. it was not too loud it was not too soft. Me and my friends were still able to hear each other. There were two tvs but we didn't really care about it since we were there for the food and we wanted to make "kwento". Tables and Chairs were clean. silverwares were incredibly shiny and clean. set up was also ok.

I was an intern before in one of the sister companies of Krazy Garlik. The group is called Bistro Group. They have Flapjacks, Fish and Co., Fridays, Billy Rock and a lot more. I know how they provide service.

They trained us well. With the service they provide they see to it that they put a smile on the cutomers' faces. They make sure that dishes are well served. Hot and ofcourse no hair strands. Hanie did a good job.

Price was almost the same with the other bistro casual dining restaurants. For me Krazy Garlik was too pricy based on the ingredients that they use it shouldn't be that expensive. Filipinos are known to love food and flavors and I can say that Krazy Garlik is one of the few that Filipinos should try but it would be sad if what's stopping them to dine in is the cost.

So enough with all the settings and service. Let's talk about food!

We asked what's their specialty and what would she recommend. Hanie was able to persuade me to try the pizza, pasta and main dish. Although we were still full at that time. I still took the risk. After all it's my first time.

For our drinks we had THE SHADOW and DRINK ME!

The size of these drinks were amazing! THEY WERE HUGE! In some restaurants I worry about the size of my drink will it fit the whole time I'm eating at that certain restaurant. So usually I end up ordering the bottomless drinks. But with these shakes. I will still be worrying about it, but not getting a new drink but how the hell am i going to finish this huge drink.

THE SHADOW (P180.00) - A mixed of dragon fruit and Vanilla, Strawberries and I believe there was a slight taste of garlic. probably a sweetened garlic or a garlic syrup. I liked the huge slice of dragon fruit. It was pink and very girlish. I really went gaga about it. Coz I like pink.

DRINK ME (P180.00)- Combination of Mango, Banana and Strawberry. Incrdible colors. I don't know how they do it. But its like a swirl of colors which made it very attractive. Its like you're thinking of sunsets and the beach.

Appetizer - FRIED CALAMARI (P315.00) - oh yes and I've done it again.. I love fried calamari. Almost every resto I've been to, I always have the fried calamari as our appetizer. It was good. the dipping sauce has a lot of garlic flavor. there was cellery, probably some pickles. they call it aioli dressing. nothing new though. nothing that would wow me. it is the usual taste of calamari. But i would say that it was very tender. i didn't had a hard time biting on it. It was not chewy at all. It was absolutely cooked perfectly.

Pizza - BBQ GARLIC CHICKEN PIZZA (P450.00) - This 8 slices of pizza was sweet. I requested that the garlic flakes be put asided. And so they did. It had a BBQ sauce which was the main sauce for the crust then tiny cubed chicken breast with garlic mix marinate. A lot of Mozzarella Cheeze. The sweet BBQ sauce over powered the rest of the ingredients which was a little upsetting but I tried to sprinkle the Garlic Flakes which I don't normally do. But it's true there's always a first time. The combination of flavors were unbelievable. At first the pizza was not really ideal but when you put those crispy garlic flakes on top.. MAN YOU ARE IN FOR A BIG TREAT! The saltiness of the garlic flakes combined with the sweetness of the BBQ sauce turns into a great and over the top dish.

Pasta - FETTUCINE ORIENTE (P450.00) - Same price with the pizza. This dish is their best seller when it comes to pasta. It's tag as "Go krazy with this". This pasta was the best fettucine I've ever tasted. It was very tasteful. Sauce was incredible. If it wasn't embarrassing to lick the plate I would probably have done that! There were chinese greens which at first was kind of weird but it all went together. The mussels were fresh. Plate was warm. Fettuccine was al dente. Belissima! I would've ordered another plate but I wanted to give taste to everything first before I do that. Haha! but the next time I'll visit the resto I will surely order this one again!

Main Dish - PORK RIB ADOBO (P495.00) - This Filipino dish is not that tasty. Maybe I was looking for something more dry more garlic flavored adobo. This was more on the light flavored adobo. Perhaps to please foreign customers since Filipino adobo is more flavored. more salty. The meat was so soft. very tender! When you bite into it . it just melts in your mouth. I like the sauce. I like the roasted garlic. One thing i was looking for was more garlic. But all in all it was AMAZING!

And couldn't we be happier. The manager came to us and asked us how was our food. And obviously we have given him a thumbs up for making me LIKE GARLIC. hahaha! Kudos Mr. Georjet Guevarra.

Please forgive me if i spelled out your name wrong. but you know who you are and Thank you for the delicious and most intriguing dessert I have ever tasted ; Dessert - CREMA CATALANA (P195.00) - we got this dessert for free.. Thank you to the manager! HIGH FIVE GUYS!! Its spanish style crem brule with a twist.. The twist is candied garlic cloves.. WOOOH!! never heard that before. It still tasted the garlic although it's sweet. never thought it would match. but it was surprisingly good though.

KRAZY GARLIK what more can I see. Everything tasted garlic! i read this blog from one of the biggest blogger in the philippines. Mr. Anton Diaz. it was actually funny because he had this idea to put suggestions for the resto and in a way I agree to him. he said that it would be best if they had mouth wash in the washroom so that no one hesitates to eat a lot and worry about the after taste. And i totally agree on that. hahaha!

But I'm glad I tried KRAZY GARLIK!

And did i mention that i hated garlic. LET ME CORRECT THAT!
GOOD JOB! You changed my take on GARLIC!

Feeling Greek

I went to Glorietta. And I wanted to eat at CYMA but I saw that there were a lot of people. Sad. But I went on and decided to eat dinner at the Food Choices. While strolling and trying to choose the right dinner for my super hungry tummy. at the very corner of the food choices court. I found this little stall called "GO GREEK" so since I was super craving for Greek and even though i wasn't able to eat at CYMA, I was so lucky to find this little stall of greek goodness.. you can't find it right away since it is located at the very back end of food choices.

I grew up in Libya. So basically I know how lamb tastes like since it was one of their main meat in the city. Looking into the menu they have platters to choose from like Lamb platter, Moussaka platter and Lemon chicken Platter. Basically platter for them means meal. They gave you options what would you like match those sweet goodness. Salad, Rice and Potato wedges. I believe they also accept huge orders like a whole chicken, 5 pieces of lamb.

So I chose my fave Lamb Platter and a friend chooses a Lemon Chicken Platter.

Lemon Chicken Platter - Breast Part. It taste lemon-y and garlic-y. I am not really a big fan of garlic dishes. This was one tough garlic flavored chicken. It had a lot of slices of garlic. at first when the waiter was pouring those slices, I thought they were mushrooms. We had to set aside those because it was too much. The side salad was amazing, i had olives, romaine, tomatoes and parmesan (although it should've been feta cheese) The long grain rice i think was a basmati rice. it was light, long and tender. The chicken was cooked perfectly. still had a few juice. tender. and delicious.

Lamb Platter - oopss.. sorry i had to take a bite before i took a picture. i couldn't resist the urge to taste the beautiful smell of the grilled lamb. as i slice a piece uhhh boy oh boy oh boy.. it felt like i'm in heaven. The knife can cut right through it. it took them about 10mins to cook it so i really had to wait making sure I won't complain about it. I tell you it was worth the wait. The lamb was grilled perfectly. The juices and the sauce was perfect. I the oil that drains from the inside going outside of the meat. it was amazing! I had a side salad and potato wedges. Goodness.. i can still taste the lamb..

I will be back... And will try those kebab platters... drools again...

GIMIKS AND FOOD - Gimikainan

Starting today..
I'll have a new blog segment - as per my special friend call it.. hahaha!
We'll call it Gimikainan - I love the social life. Drinking beers and having fun! So one night like a month ago.. ME and my team mates decided to hang out and drink.

I decided to share this bar because the chicken was so good that makes me wanting for more..
So I'll share this so i could get a discount.. bwahah! kidding!
The chicken is so good!

The ambiance was not as wide as we thought it would be. But It was enough to let us have fun.
There was a VIP section, where we were.
There was also the regular section inside the bar.

What's weird is, there were actually students who were already there drinking!Which for me is a minus points for the bar. Music was ok. Nothing new. Dj was hot though! hahaha!
Center Stage there was a Pole.. HAHA!
So obviously someone should be dancing on that pole.

We had fun!

Pizza and Pasta All you Can FTW!!!

After shift we decided to try the pasta and pizza all you can from Chef d' Angelo. Aside from you can eat all you can... It's also very affordable. since we were almost broke that time... we wanted to make it worth it..

Chef d’ Angelo - an Italian-American, fast-service restaurant which became famous for its huge servings of chicken, pizza, pasta, burgers, salads, rice-based meals and waffles. From time to time they add a few dishes to keep the customers wanting for more. This is where the EAT ALL YOU CAN PASTA AND PIZZA COMES IN.

Wasn't that turned on with the Ambiance or the servers. The set up was ok. No condiments on the table. We had to pull ourselves some chairs so that we wouldn't have to wait. No alertness from our servers. We had to call them a couple of times to remind them of what we were trying to aske them. there was also this customer who was very loud.. "nakakrindi" even the manager was irritated.. hahaha! "ang angas nya!"

Triza couldn't finish her salad and our team leader got her more pasta.. hahaha!
