Pizza Patia

Like all others, Pizza is one of the most favorite fast food in the entire world! My brother (RJ) is a pizza lover. Living in a village where honestly is far from any fast food chains that you could ever think of. Well it's not that we are living on top of a mountain or any province that you think looks like. Where we live is peaceful and for me it's HOME! 

We came from manila today and on our way home, we happen to pass by Pantok and we saw a small stall where the first thing we read was "...Pizza" so we slowed down and read the whole logo "PIZZA PATIA".




Not bad! They already have their ready-made dough and tiny oven. The taste is ok. They have ingredients and enough for a simple business such as this. My brother loves their Cheesy Cheese Pizza (P248.00 XL). He can eat the entire box in one sitting! You can check them out! Enjoy! They can deliver for free. We do this all the time.

Buddy's Pancit Lucban at Longganisang Lucban



A traditional Family would always have Pancit in their "handaan". Who wouldn't? With Buddy's, the authenticity of their dish is to die for! Pancit Lucban (also known as Pancit Hab-Hab) is a dish that originated in Lucban Quezon, Philippines. It's a sauteed miki noodles with pork meat, pork liver and shrimp. Pechay and Sayote is the basic vegetable ingredient in this dish. You would probably wonder what makes this dish unique, it is how you eat it. It is placed in a banana leaf and eaten straight to your mouth without any silverware. It is drizzled with vinegar to enhance it's taste. 


Lucky for us, Buddy's considered "to-go's" and "take-outs", so they decided to put it in a "Bilao" (winnowing basket), so it's easy to carry. Their Pancit Lucban is not oily. Meaty and juicy and the noodles combined with the sourness of the vinegar. Flavorsome and Divine!


If you're craving for Pancit Lucban and can't go to Lucban Quezon, I suggest to go to the nearest Buddy's Pancit Lucban at Longganisang Lucban branch in the city and order right away!

Fat Girl's Recipe: MENUDO

A lot of my friends are asking how to cook menudo. Well first off, menudo is a very colorful dish because of the different colored vegetables not to mention the hotdog. So here it goes hope everyone likes it. 




 MENUDO

 Ingredients: 
MENUDO
1/2 kilo Pork Belly 
1/4 kilo Chicken Liver 
3 pcs. Jumbo hotdog, sliced 
3 Cloves Garlic, minced 
2 medium sized Red Onion, diced 
2 medium sized Tomatoes, cubes 
5 medium sized Potatoes, cubes 
2 pcs. Carrots, cubes 
4 small Green Bell Peppers, cubes 
1 small pack Frozen Peas 


 4 c Water 
1/2 c soy sauce 
1/3 c oyster sauce 
3 tbsp. Tomato Paste 
2 tbsp. Sugar 
Salt and Pepper 


Procedure: 
1. Saute garlic and onion until golden brown,add the pork and let it cook. 
2. Once the pork is cooked, add the tomatoes. 
3. After adding the tomatoes, add the potatoes and carrots. Let it cook for a few minutes. Then add the hotdogs. 
4. Once the potatoes and carrots are half cooked add the hotdog and chicken liver. Let it cook for a few minutes. 
5. Add the rest of the ingredients except the bell pepper And peas. Let it simmer for 3 minutes. 
6. Lastly, add the bell pepper and peas. Let it simmer until all ingredients are cooked evenly. 


 READY TO SERVE!!!

Fat Girl's Recipe : Fish Tacos

My mother hired a tutor for my brother, which means another excuse to make a mirienda for the tutor.. Since there were a lot of vegetables that are almost near to spoil, I figured why not make a home made fish tacos. There was also a frozen pack of cream dory fillets. 


FISH TACOS






Ingredients:
Cream Dory Fillets, cut into finger-shape
Taco Shells
Tomato, deseeded and shredded 
Red Onions, shredded
Cabbage, shredded
Cheese, shredded
Batter:
2 c All Purpose Floor
1 tsp. Salt
1/2 tsp. Pepper
1/2 tsp. Chili Powder
1/2 tsp. Paprika
1/2 tsp. Ashuete Powder


For the White Sauce - i just used the Ceasar Dressing that can be bought in Supermarkets and just squeezed a half or Lemon Juice.


Procedure:
1. Mix the Batter, then coat the fillets then deep fry.
2. Just mixed the white sauce with all the vegetables.
3. Assemble; a) Taco Shells b) Fish c)Mixed Vegetables in White Sauce d) Cheese.
4. Wrap the Tacos in foil then Grill each side for 20 seconds. 
5. Then Ready to serve.

New Year's Eve! Yellow 2012!

Before the golden sun sets, 
old calender is destroyed,

And to make an end is to make a beginning.Happy New Year!


13 round fruits, water, salt, mirror for reflection of wealth, grain of rice, 12 green candles, fish,coins, ginataan, ube, cotton, bills and dragon for 2012.mom's yearly ritual... Hehehehe.

we are all in yellow... lucky colors for 2012 are yellow and green

New Year's Resolution for my blog:
1. Write more food blogs for 2012.
2. Explore different cuisine like indian, moroccan and etc.
3. Try Exotic food. Frogs,rats, snakes and etc.
